PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Light on the Body, Cozy Through the Day

Add a little warmth without the bulk with the NEKOAN Casual Lightweight Fleece Dog Vest. Its textured orange fleece and contrast edging bring a relaxed outdoor look to everyday walks, while the soft, stretchy fabric keeps movement comfortable.

Made from 100% polyester, the breathable fleece uses a lofted, dual-fiber structure to trap insulating air while allowing moisture to move through the fabric. It provides a light layer of warmth for cooler days, whether your dog is exploring outside or settling down after a walk.

Wear it on its own in mild weather or underneath a compatible outer coat when temperatures drop. The lightweight construction makes layering easy, while the two-front-leg design covers the chest and back and leaves the hind legs free.

A drawcord-adjustable collar lets you refine the neck opening. A protective fabric panel at the collar adds structure, while bound edges and reinforced stitching give the vest a neat, practical finish.

The cut accommodates longer bodies, making it an option for Dachshunds and similarly proportioned dogs, depending on measurements. It may also suit Corgis, Schnauzers, Yorkshire Terriers, West Highland White Terriers, Fox Terriers, Poodles, Bichon Frises, Pomeranians, Chihuahuas, Maltese and Cockapoos. Suitable cats may also wear it if the measurements and fit are appropriate.

Measure your pet’s neck, chest and back length and compare them with the size chart. Leave comfortable room for fur and movement, and adjust the collar without tightening it against the neck. When layering, check that both garments fit comfortably together.

MATERIAL & CARE

Material

Fabric: 100% polyester.
Construction: Lightweight, lofted fleece with a dual-fiber knit structure.
Details: Stretch fabric, contrast binding and a protective collar panel.

Care

Hand washing is recommended. Use water below 86°F (30°C) with a mild detergent. If machine washing, place the vest in a laundry bag and select a gentle cycle. Avoid high-speed spinning.

Do not bleach or use fabric softener or strongly alkaline detergents. Gently press out excess water without wringing, reshape and lay flat to dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry.

Remove loose fur and dust gently with a lint roller or soft brush. Follow the sewn-in care label if its instructions differ.

FAQ

What does “breathable fleece” mean?
The lightweight knit structure allows air and moisture to move through the fabric while its loft helps trap warmth. It is designed to balance light insulation with comfort during movement.

Is this a thick winter coat?
No. It is a lightweight fleece layer for cooler days and layering. In cold or windy conditions, pair it with a suitable outer coat and check the combined fit.

Is the whole vest waterproof?
No. The main fleece body is breathable rather than waterproof. Protective fabric is used at the collar, but this does not make the entire vest a rain garment.

Can I adjust the neck opening?
Yes. The collar has a drawcord for adjusting the fit. Keep it comfortably loose and secure the cord so it does not interfere with movement.

Is it suitable for Dachshunds?
The shape accommodates longer bodies, making it a possible fit for Dachshunds and similar dogs. Compare the chest, neck and back-length measurements with the size chart.

Which other dogs may it fit?
Depending on measurements, it may suit Corgis, Schnauzers, Yorkshire Terriers, West Highland White Terriers, Fox Terriers, Poodles, Bichon Frises, Pomeranians, Chihuahuas, Maltese and Cockapoos.

Does it have a built-in leash attachment?
No leash attachment is specified. The collar drawcord adjusts the garment’s fit and must not be used as a leash connection.

How do I choose the right size?
Measure the neck, the widest part of the chest just behind the front legs, and the back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Compare all three with the size chart, allowing comfortable room for fur and movement. Do not rely on stretch to make an undersized garment fit.

Can I machine wash it?
Yes. Hand washing is recommended, but gentle machine washing in a laundry bag is also suitable. Use water below 86°F (30°C), avoid high-speed spinning and lay flat to dry in the shade. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, and do not tumble dry.
