PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A Considered Look for Everyday Outings

The Nekoan Leather-Look Hooded Cat Harness Vest combines the appearance of a casual jacket with the function of a walking harness. Its leather-look outer finish gives the design a distinctive character, while cotton lining offers a soft contact surface against your cat’s skin and coat.

The clothing-style body provides coverage around the torso, with a dedicated back attachment for the included leash. Correctly sized and fully fastened, the fitted vest structure helps reduce slipping and backing out while allowing comfortable everyday movement.

This cotton-lined cat harness vest is a walking option for Sphynx, Devon Rex, Abyssinian and other cats whose measurements match the size guide. Choose by individual neck, chest, waist and back-length measurements rather than breed or weight alone.

For indoor cats beginning leash training or gradual socialization, introduce the vest at home first. Once your cat is comfortable, move on to quiet garden visits, short walks or supervised campsite exploration. Keep the leash relaxed and let your cat investigate willingly rather than pulling them forward.

Before each outing, check the fit, fastening and back leash attachment. Keep the hood clear of your cat’s eyes and ears, and supervise throughout use. The fitted design helps reduce escape risk, but no harness can guarantee complete escape prevention.

Size & Fit Guide

Measure the neck around its base, the chest at its widest point just behind the front legs, the waist around the abdomen, and back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Keep the measuring tape naturally close without tightening.

Compare all measurements with this style’s size chart. Choose a close fit that allows normal walking, sitting and stretching without large gaps at the neck or arm openings. Breed or weight alone does not determine fit. If your measurements do not match a listed size, message us for sizing help.

Measurements below are in centimetres: neck / chest / waist / back length. Weight is a reference only.

XS: 16 / 24 / 26 / 22 cm; reference weight 0.75–1 kg.

S-: 17 / 25 / 28 / 23 cm; reference weight 1 kg.

S+: 17 / 26 / 29 / 24 cm; reference weight 1.5 kg.

M-: 19 / 27 / 31 / 26 cm; reference weight 2 kg.

M+: 19 / 30 / 33 / 28 cm; reference weight 2.5 kg.

L-: 20 / 32 / 35 / 30 cm; reference weight 3 kg.

L+: 20 / 34 / 37 / 32 cm; reference weight 3.5 kg.

XL-: 22 / 35 / 38 / 34 cm; reference weight 4 kg.

XL+: 22 / 36 / 39 / 35 cm; reference weight 4.5 kg.

2XL-: 24 / 37 / 41 / 36 cm; reference weight 5 kg.

2XL+: 24 / 39 / 42 / 37 cm; reference weight 5.5 kg.

3XL-: 26 / 41 / 44 / 38 cm; reference weight 6 kg.

MATERIAL & CARE

Materials

Leather-look outer finish. Cotton lining. Back leash attachment hardware. Included leash.

“Leather-look” describes the surface appearance. The outer material’s exact composition has not been confirmed.

Care

For routine care, gently wipe the outer surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow to air dry. Avoid prolonged soaking, abrasive cleaning and direct heat.

Follow the product’s care label before machine washing, as the outer finish requires different consideration from the cotton lining.

Check the seams, fastening and leash attachment before each use. Stop using the set if any component is damaged.

Goods genuinely made to your individual specifications or personalized may be excluded from change-of-mind returns where permitted by law. Being handmade or produced after an order is placed does not automatically make a standard item non-returnable. Rights for damaged, defective or incorrect goods remain unaffected.

UK and EU statutory withdrawals require a clear notice, not prior approval or a reason. For item-condition rules, original delivery-charge reimbursement and refund times, see our Return & Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

FAQ

Is this a cat jacket or a walking harness?

It combines a hooded clothing-style vest with a dedicated back leash attachment. Use it with the included leash for supervised walks when correctly sized and fully fastened.

Does it help prevent escapes?

Yes. The fitted vest structure helps reduce slipping and backing out when the size and fastening are correct. Check the fit before each outing and supervise throughout use. No harness guarantees complete escape prevention.

Is the outer material genuine leather?

The outer surface has a leather-look finish, but its exact composition has not been confirmed. We do not describe it as genuine leather.

What is the lining made from?

The lining is cotton, providing a soft contact surface against the skin and coat.

Is it suitable for Sphynx and Devon Rex cats?

Yes, when their measurements match the size guide and they are comfortable wearing a vest-style harness. It can also suit Abyssinian and other cats with an appropriate individual fit.

Can I use it for leash training and socialization?

Yes. It can be used during gradual harness familiarization, indoor leash practice and supervised introductions to unfamiliar surroundings. Begin in a calm environment and follow your cat’s pace.

Can it be used for camping and outdoor walks?

It is an option for supervised campsite exploration, garden visits and short outdoor walks. Keep your cat with you and check the fit and attachment before use.

Is it waterproof?

A leather-look surface does not confirm waterproof performance. This product is not described as waterproof.

Can I machine wash it?

Check the care label first. The cotton lining and leather-look outer finish may require different care. For routine cleaning, gently wipe the outer surface with a damp cloth and air dry.
