PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A soft cotton-stretch recovery suit for cats who need their body covered while resting at home. Made from 92% cotton and 8% elastane, the lightweight fabric offers flexibility without unnecessary bulk.

After spaying or abdominal surgery

The suit creates a physical layer over the covered belly area, helping limit direct licking and scratching. It may also suit some flank incisions when the fabric fully covers the site and your cat cannot reach it. Ask your veterinarian to confirm coverage before relying on the suit.

During planned weaning

The bodysuit covers the nipples to help limit kittens’ access during a planned transition away from nursing. It provides a clothing barrier; it does not stop milk production.

For skin care and excessive grooming

When recommended by your veterinarian, the suit can cover selected torso areas affected by skin irritation, minor injuries or excessive licking. Follow their instructions before covering any area treated with topical medication.

For everyday recovery routines

The face remains uncovered for eating and drinking, while the open rear leaves space for litter-tray use. Neckline snaps and a rear hook-and-loop opening make dressing, removal and access for care more straightforward.

Designed for quiet indoor recovery and supervised wear. Check the fit and covered area regularly, and use a recovery collar as well if your veterinarian advises it or your cat can still reach the protected area.

Open rear: Designed to keep the toileting area accessible when correctly fitted.

Reusable garment: Can be gently hand washed and worn again once completely dry.

Size & Fit

Please refer to the size chart image in the product gallery for size measurements and reference weights.

Neck: Measure around the base of the neck.

Chest: Measure around the widest part of the chest, directly behind the front legs.

Back: Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.

Compare all three measurements; weight is a reference only. The suit should sit close to the body without pulling across the incision, restricting movement or pressing tightly around the neck and legs.

Check coverage while your cat stands, sits and lies down. Keep the rear opening clear during toileting. Contact us with your cat’s measurements if you are unsure.

92% cotton, 8% elastane.

Care

Gently hand wash. Machine washing is not recommended. For small surface marks, clean carefully with a damp cloth or soft brush.

Air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated place. Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or tumble dry.

Keep the suit clean and dry during use. Change it if it becomes wet or soiled, and inspect the fabric, seams and fastenings regularly. The soft fabric is not chew-proof; replace the garment if damaged or if it no longer stays positioned.

Returns & Refunds

For eligible non-personalized goods, notify us at support@nekoan.com within 14 days after the last item in your order is delivered, then send the goods back within 14 days after notice. Contact us for the correct return address before posting; do not use the dispatch address.

For change-of-mind returns or a size selected incorrectly by the customer, the customer pays the actual direct return postage. We do not charge a fixed return-postage fee or a restocking fee. Necessary return or replacement shipping costs for a confirmed defect or our error are covered by us.

Goods genuinely made to your individual specifications or personalized may be excluded from change-of-mind returns where permitted by law. Being handmade or produced after an order is placed does not automatically make a standard item non-returnable. Rights for damaged, defective or incorrect goods remain unaffected.

FAQ

Can this suit be used after a midline or flank spay?

It provides coverage for the abdomen and parts of the torso. It may be suitable after either procedure if the fabric fully covers the incision and your cat cannot lick or scratch the site. A flank incision positioned above or behind the garment’s coverage will need another form of protection. Ask your veterinarian to check suitability.

Can it replace a cone, and is it suitable after male neutering?

Some cats can use a recovery suit instead of a cone when it provides adequate coverage. Others still need both. This suit does not cover the usual male castration site. For male cats having abdominal surgery, ask your veterinarian whether it covers the relevant area.

Can it be used during weaning or for skin-care coverage?

Yes. It can cover the nipples to help limit nursing during planned weaning. It can also cover selected torso areas during skin care or excessive grooming when recommended by a veterinarian. It does not stop milk production or treat the cause of a skin problem. Check before covering topical medication.

Can my cat eat, drink and use the litter tray while wearing it?

The face remains uncovered, and the rear opening is designed to allow toileting. Check that the suit fits comfortably and stays clear when your cat squats. Some cats may soil the fabric, so inspect it after litter-tray visits and change it when needed.

What if my cat walks awkwardly or tries to remove it?

Check the size, neckline snaps and rear adjustment first. Introduce the garment calmly and observe your cat. A close fit helps keep it positioned, but no suit is escape-proof. If your cat remains distressed, cannot move normally or continues reaching the protected area, ask your veterinarian about another option.

How do I wash it, and what is included?

Each purchase includes one recovery suit; a collar is not included. Gently hand wash and air dry in the shade. Machine washing is not recommended. Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or tumble dry.
