Small Steps Towards a Wider World

The Nekoan Small Cat Harness & Leash Set is made for quiet introductions to the world beyond home. Its soft suede-feel panel and lightweight construction offer a comfortable starting point for supervised walks, leash practice and gradual outdoor familiarization.

The step-in shape places a soft panel across the chest, while four adjustment points let you refine the fit around the neck and body. Weighing approximately 37 g in S and 39 g in M, the harness keeps wearing weight low without covering the whole torso.

The escape-resistant design works together with correct sizing and adjustment to help reduce backing out and slipping free. A close, comfortable fit is essential: the harness should stay in position without restricting normal movement.

A plastic quick-release buckle makes fastening straightforward. The matching 130 cm jacquard webbing leash has a loop handle and a zinc-alloy swivel snap hook that rotates through 360°, helping the connection turn as your cat changes direction.

For indoor cats beginning leash training or gradual socialization, start with calm, supervised practice at home. Once your cat is comfortable, introduce quiet garden visits and short outdoor explorations at their pace. Keep the leash relaxed and let your cat move willingly rather than pulling them forward.

Measure Before Ordering

Measure around the base of your cat’s neck and the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Keep the tape naturally close to the body without pulling it tight.

Both measurements must fall within the selected size’s ranges. Do not choose by weight alone or automatically size up or down if the measurements do not match.

How to Put It On

1. Open the buckle and place your cat’s front legs through the openings.
2. Bring the panel up against the chest and fasten the back buckle.
3. Adjust all four points for a close, comfortable fit, allowing approximately one finger of space beneath the neck and chest straps.
4. Attach the leash to the back rings and check all fastenings.
5. Begin indoors before gradually introducing supervised outdoor activity.

Keep the leash relaxed rather than constantly taut. Do not drag your cat forward or leave them tethered unattended.

Hand measurements may vary by approximately 1–2 cm. Harness weights may vary by approximately 5%.

Care

Gently remove loose dirt, then wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Allow the harness and leash to air dry fully before storing. Avoid prolonged soaking, harsh cleaners and direct heat. Follow any care instructions supplied with the product.

Before each use, check the webbing, stitching, buckle, adjustment sliders and leash attachment. Stop using the set if any component is damaged.

Standard shipping is free on orders of US$100 or more; orders below US$100 have a flat US$8 shipping fee. Local-currency equivalents and available destinations are shown at checkout.

Orders are currently dispatched from China. Most standard products are dispatched within 2 business days after payment. For customized or made-to-order products, please contact us before ordering. Production and dispatch times are confirmed individually with you.

Estimated transit time is 7–9 business days after dispatch, separate from processing time. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by customs or carrier delays.

Returns & Refunds

For eligible non-personalized goods, notify us at support@nekoan.com within 14 days after the last item in your order is delivered, then send the goods back within 14 days after notice. Contact us for the correct return address before posting; do not use the dispatch address.

For change-of-mind returns or a size selected incorrectly by the customer, the customer pays the actual direct return postage. We do not charge a fixed return-postage fee or a restocking fee. Necessary return or replacement shipping costs for a confirmed defect or our error are covered by us.

Goods genuinely made to your individual specifications or personalized may be excluded from change-of-mind returns where permitted by law. Being handmade or produced after an order is placed does not automatically make a standard item non-returnable. Rights for damaged, defective or incorrect goods remain unaffected.

FAQ

Does this harness help prevent escapes?

Yes. The fitted panel and four-point adjustment are designed to help reduce backing out and slipping free. Choose the correct size, adjust the neck and chest carefully and check the fit before every outing. Continuous supervision is still necessary.

Is this harness suitable for small cats?

Yes, when their measurements match the size guide. S fits neck 26–34 cm and chest 28–37 cm. M fits neck 33–45 cm and chest 39–54 cm. Body shape and measurements matter more than weight alone.

Can a kitten wear it?

Only if both neck and chest measurements fit the selected size and the harness sits securely without restricting movement. The S size has a recommended weight range of 3–5.5 kg, so it should not be assumed to fit a very young or tiny kitten.

Can I use it for leash training an indoor cat?

Yes. The adjustable step-in design can be used for gradual indoor harness and leash familiarization. Begin with short, calm sessions and allow your cat time to adjust before introducing outdoor walks.

Can it be used during cat socialization?

It can be used during supervised, gradual introductions to unfamiliar surroundings. Let your cat set the pace and choose quiet environments. The harness is a walking tool; it does not guarantee confidence or eliminate stress.

Is the panel comfortable against the skin?

The suede-feel panel offers a soft contact surface that helps reduce friction. Correct fit remains important so the edges and straps do not rub or restrict movement.
