PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A Place to Tuck Away

The Nekoan Burrowing Cat Bed offers a sheltered resting space for cats that like to sleep beneath blankets or retreat into covered corners. Its pocket-style shape and softly filled surround create a cosy place to curl up on cooler days.

A smooth, waterproof nylon outer keeps everyday care straightforward. Water and urine bead on the fabric’s surface rather than soak into it, making small accidents easier to wipe away. A concealed zip allows the cover to be removed for machine or hand washing.

Approximately 800 g of polyester fibre filling gives the bed its cushioned volume and supports its shape when correctly assembled. It is a considered option for burrowing cats, including Sphynx and Devon Rex cats that enjoy enclosed sleeping spaces.

Recommended for cats up to 6 kg / 13.2 lbs. The external dimensions are 60 × 60 × 50 cm / 23.6 × 23.6 × 19.7 in.

Consider your cat’s usual sleeping position and preference for covered spaces. Your cat should be able to enter, turn around and leave comfortably.

Care

Wipe away spills promptly. The waterproof outer fabric allows water and urine to bead on the surface rather than absorb into the fabric.

For washing, unzip the cover and remove the insert. Machine wash or hand wash the outer cover, then spin-dry. Once fully dry, reposition the insert evenly and reassemble the bed.

The waterproof claim applies to the outer fabric; leakproof seams and zip construction have not been confirmed. Washing temperature, machine cycle, insert washing and tumble-dryer suitability are to be confirmed.

Standard shipping is free on orders of US$100 or more; orders below US$100 have a flat US$8 shipping fee. Local-currency equivalents and available destinations are shown at checkout.

Orders are currently dispatched from China. Most standard products are dispatched within 2 business days after payment. For customized or made-to-order products, please contact us before ordering. Production and dispatch times are confirmed individually with you.

Estimated transit time is 7–9 business days after dispatch, separate from processing time. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by customs or carrier delays.

For eligible EU and US orders, applicable VAT, import duties and customs clearance charges are included. Additional charges may apply for other destinations. See our Shipping Policy for full details.

Returns & Refunds

For eligible non-personalized goods, notify us at support@nekoan.com within 14 days after the last item in your order is delivered, then send the goods back within 14 days after notice. Contact us for the correct return address before posting; do not use the dispatch address.

For change-of-mind returns or a size selected incorrectly by the customer, the customer pays the actual direct return postage. We do not charge a fixed return-postage fee or a restocking fee. Necessary return or replacement shipping costs for a confirmed defect or our error are covered by us.

Goods genuinely made to your individual specifications or personalized may be excluded from change-of-mind returns where permitted by law. Being handmade or produced after an order is placed does not automatically make a standard item non-returnable. Rights for damaged, defective or incorrect goods remain unaffected.

UK and EU statutory withdrawals require a clear notice, not prior approval or a reason. For item-condition rules, original delivery-charge reimbursement and refund times, see our Return & Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

FAQ

Does the fabric build up static?

Static is generally minimal during normal use, though it may occur in particularly dry conditions.

Is the cover easy to scratch or tear?

The nylon outer stands up to everyday scratching and is not easily torn during normal use. It is not claw-proof; check for damage if your cat scratches or chews persistently.

Will my cat enjoy sleeping inside?

The covered shape is particularly suited to cats that enjoy burrowing or sleeping beneath blankets, including Sphynx and Devon Rex cats with these preferences. It provides a sheltered place to curl up, though individual preferences vary.

What if my cat urinates on the bed?

Urine beads on the waterproof outer fabric rather than absorbing into it. Wipe it away promptly. For washing, remove the insert and machine wash or hand wash the cover, then spin-dry and reassemble once fully dry. Check the zip, seams and insert for moisture before reassembly.

Does the bed hold its shape?

Yes. When correctly assembled with the insert evenly positioned, the filled structure supports the bed’s shape. Reshape and redistribute the filling after unpacking or washing the cover.

What size cat can use it?
