SIZE SELECTION NOTE

Please measure your dog carefully before ordering.

Because Whippets, Italian Greyhounds and other sighthounds can have significantly different proportions even at a similar weight, weight alone should not be used to select the correct fit.

Compare your dog’s measurements with the product dimensions and pay particular attention to the widest part of the chest.

The harness should sit securely without pressing against the throat, rubbing behind the front legs or restricting the shoulders.

If your dog’s measurement is close to the maximum adjustable range, or your dog has a particularly broad or deep chest, this harness may not provide sufficient adjustment.

Please allow a 1–3 cm difference due to manual measurement.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG

Chest

Measure around the widest and deepest part of your dog’s chest, directly behind the front legs.

Neck Base

Measure around the lower part of the neck where the front band of the harness will naturally sit. Do not measure high on the narrowest part of a sighthound’s neck.

Body Proportion

Consider the distance between the base of the neck and the widest part of the chest. Sighthounds with an especially long torso or very deep chest may require additional fit checking.

Keep the measuring tape comfortably close to the body without pulling it tightly. Allow enough room to place approximately two fingers between the tape and your dog.

HOW TO PUT ON THE HARNESS

1. Fully open the side-release buckle.
2. Identify the wide cream front band and padded shoulder panels.
3. Guide the harness carefully over your dog’s head.
4. Position the cream band comfortably across the front of the chest.
5. Place the padded panels evenly around the shoulder area.
6. Bring the adjustable body strap around the torso.
7. Fasten the buckle securely.
8. Adjust the strap gradually until the harness sits close to the body.
9. Check that the upper attachment rings remain centred along the back.
10. Attach the leash to the designated metal ring.
11. Allow your dog to walk for several minutes and recheck the fit.

CORRECT FIT CHECK

A correctly fitted harness should:

• Sit securely without pressing against the throat
• Remain centred during normal movement
• Allow approximately two fingers beneath the straps
• Leave the shoulders and front legs free to move
• Avoid rubbing directly behind the front legs
• Not rotate excessively around the body
• Not allow the dog to reverse out of the harness
• Keep the buckle and metal hardware away from sensitive skin

Recheck the fit regularly, especially during the first few walks.

SIGHTHOUND SAFETY NOTE

Sighthounds can have narrow heads, slender necks and deep chests, which may make them more likely to back out of incorrectly fitted walking equipment.

Before every walk, confirm that all straps are correctly adjusted and that the buckle is fully locked.

Test the fit indoors or in a securely enclosed area before using the harness near roads or in open spaces.

This product should not be described as completely escape-proof. No harness can guarantee that every dog will be unable to escape.

For highly anxious, newly adopted, reactive or escape-prone dogs, consider using an additional safety connector attached to a properly fitted collar.

Is the harness escape-proof?

The harness is designed to provide a secure everyday fit when correctly adjusted, but it should not be described as completely escape-proof. Dogs with a history of reversing out of harnesses should use an additional safety connector.
